Davids interest in sound started at the young age of six when he first learned the beauty and expressiveness of the piano. Throughout his youth, this developed into studying recordings and live performances, and expressing himself in various bands as well as his own compositions. This was complimented by his love of cinema and the power of storytelling. Over his 25-year career, David has worked in numerous areas of professional sound, including sound recording, sound mixing, ADR and Foley recording and live music recording. The focus of his passion ultimately brought him to creating worlds as a sound designer/sound editor for many brilliant filmmakers. He thoroughly enjoys collaborating with his colleagues and with filmmakers to help bring their stories to life. It is his lifelong goal to hone this craft; its tools; his ability to collaborate and learn all that he can about film and the sounds used to tell a great story. Within David's sound career, he has been nominated multiple times and has been awarded 3 DGC Awards for his work on the TV projects “The Northwater”, “Trickster” and “Cardinal”.
