Biography

In August of 2023, Ian celebrated his 30th year in the post sound industry. His journey began as an intern at Sheridan College, where he assisted Saul Grimaldi on the foley stage, a moment that fueled his passion for sound. Throughout the years, Ian has immersed himself in mixing and recording foley, collaborating with a myriad of talented directors, producers, editors, foley artists, and fellow Re-recording mixers. His contributions have been recognized with an Emmy Award and multiple Canadian Screen Awards. He is currently working on the new series Cross for Amazon and Paramount. Interestingly, Ian's studio companion, Harley the dog, holds a notable popularity surpassing even Ian's, having supervised several high-profile projects with charm.
