Born and raised in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Krystin had a love for music early on. This passion led her to learning piano, which she was classically trained, and later learning to play the saxophone. In high school, she was lucky to have a technical music production class where she learned how to record, edit, and create music and slowly shifted away from performance. In 2005, she made the move to Toronto, enrolling in Toronto Metropolitan University’s Radio and Television Arts program (formerly Ryerson University). It was in her audio post-production class that she discovered the perfect union between her passion for music and the diverse ways sound contributes to the world of film and television. Krystin is now a multi-award-winning Dialogue and ADR Editor with over 15 years of experience. She has brought her passion and creativity to several genres including television, feature films, and documentary. Every sound edit requires a different approach and Krystin loves collaborating with show runners on how they want their project to feel emotionally, and the importance dialogue plays in that storytelling. Her most recent credits include ‘Women Talking’, ‘Silo’, ‘The Summer I Turned Pretty’, ‘Freaky Tales’ and ‘The Handmaid’s Tale.’
