Biography

Supervising Colorist Peter Doyle is one of the industry’s most influential colorists, known for developing innovative techniques and distinctive looks across more than 25 years at the forefront of the craft. His work spans major studio films including Creed III, Darkest Hour, Edge of Tomorrow and Wrath of Man, alongside visually ambitious projects such as The Tragedy of Macbeth, Cyrano, Inside Llewyn Davis and the award-winning series Disclaimer. His latest work includes Digger, the upcoming film marking Tom Cruise’s return to comedy and reuniting director Alejandro G. Iñárritu with cinematographer Emmanuel “Chivo” Lubezki.

Doyle brings a deep understanding of color, photography and image design to digital grading, pioneering bespoke techniques that expanded creative possibilities for filmmakers. He has collaborated with some of the world’s leading cinematographers, including grading four of Bruno Delbonnel’s five Oscar-nominated films for Best Cinematography. His passion for photography continues to inform an approach defined by experimentation, technical innovation and the creation of bold, memorable images.

Doyle has graded films that have earned: 5 Oscar nominations in Cinematography, 8 nominations in Visual Effects, including 5 winners, and 8 BSC Best Cinematography nominations
