Richard Calistan

Richard discovered his strengths behind the scenes as a member of his high school A/V club. His early fascination with the nuances of sound and audio paved the way for a remarkable career in post production audio. Majoring in the Audio Media Program at Sheridan College, he did a placement during his 3rd year in the same building within which he still works three decades later. His drive for excellence has earned him a Gemini award, an Emmy nomination, and several DGC Craft awards. Early in his career, Richard distinguished himself as one of the few industry professionals who is both an ADR Mixer and ADR Editor —  giving him the distinct advantage of curating seamless ADR by having the  skill set for the whole process and not just one part of it. Richard mixes  ADR with the foresight of an ADR editor. His multi-talented expertise makes  for a smoother process and undeniably excellent work. Over his 30-year career he has had the pleasure of collaborating with such iconic actors as Samuel L Jackson, Robin Williams, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, and Cate Blanchett, along with some of the best directors in the industry.
