Since those university years, Susan Conley has become one Canada’s leading Dialogue editors and ADR Supervisors. Her career spans 30 years and has taken her through animation, IMAX, feature films and television where she has worked on hundreds of hours of programming. She has travelled from Newfoundland to New Delhi to supervise ADR. Her awards include Canadian Screen Awards, Genies, and Directors Guild of Canada plus two Golden Reel nominations from the MPSE in Los Angeles. Susan’s approach to dialogue editing is like a contractor restoring a beautiful old home. She works tirelessly to find and recover the treasures of the original recordings through out-taking and audio restorative software such as Izotope. When ADR is needed to complete the dialogue edit, she is completely at home in the ADR stage, making it safe, friendly, and efficient for all the parties involved. She has even been known to step in and do the recording herself. Susan has recently expanded her work into foreign language productions, and successfully supervised ADR sessions with a multitude of languages in both Thailand and India.
