Picture Shop, an award-winning, state-of-the-art post-production house, announced today that  Director of Creative Workflow and seasoned Senior Colorist, Tony D’Amore, has been accepted for membership into the American Society of Cinematographers.  Founded over one hundred years ago in 1919, D’Amore will be joining the entertainment industry’s historical institution as an Associate Member, helping to broaden the knowledge of the ASC into post and beyond.

Streamland Media’s CEO Bill Romeo commented on D’Amore’s exciting achievement, saying, “Congratulations to Tony and all the talented artists admitted to the ASC. Tony has demonstrated broad knowledge and skill in color and post production, which I know will be a great asset to the rest of the ASC’s membership.”

With over twenty-five years in the entertainment industry, D’Amore has continued to sharpen and elevate his expertise in color grading and post-production workflow.  Known as an industry pioneer of HDR workflow, he has utilized his extensive knowledge of the industry’s cutting-edge advanced color grading software to contribute to the color of multiple top-rated TV series including, FX’s ‘Legion’ and ‘Fargo’, Netflix/Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’,  ‘Iron Fist’, ‘Daredevil’, ‘Luke Cage’, ‘The Defenders’, Amazon’s ‘Carnival Row’, ‘Hanna’, and many more.  In addition to his roster of impressive credits, D’Amore has contributed to several Emmy-winning shows nominated in the category of ‘Outstanding Cinematography’.

When asked about being initiated for membership into the century old entertainment industry society, D'Amore said, “I am looking forward to sharing what I have learned over the years with the ASC members. This industry is becoming more and more technical as the years go on and it’s important that we embrace new technology without losing sight of the old. The colorists role is it to be a bridge between the two.”
