Picture Shop’s George Manno has color finished all three season of the Netflix showNetflix’s final season of the hit show The Komsinky Method follows acting coach Sandy Kominsky (Michael Douglas) and best friend Norman Newlander (Alan Arkin) as they keep each other laughing while navigating the ups and downs of getting older. Picture Shop Senior Colorist George Manno has been a part of the creative team on the show since its beginnings, working closely with cinematographer Anette Haellmigk, GSC, who shot the first two seasons and established the look that has been carried through all three seasons. Season three was shot by Jaime Reynoso, AMC.“Jaime did an outstanding job keeping things interesting with mixed color and half-light. The footage was beautiful and very easy to work with. Our look from the beginning has been slightly more dramatic than your standard single-cam show,” describes Manno.Manno created 4 different LUTs for Reynoso to use during production. During post, Manno completed an SDR and an HDR Dolby Vision pass. Chuck Lorre, creator of the show, came by Picture Shop’s facility in Burbank to approve color before final deliveries.
