Picture Shop Senior Colorist Mark Kueper is featured in a new Blackmagic Design article highlighting the grading of Hulu’s The Season.
Mark discusses the creative approach behind the series’ opulent, cinematic look and the process of working with director Marialy Rivas and cinematographer Sergio Delgado to shape the visual style.
“The show is about opulence, and the look needed to support that. Having a 2.39:1 aspect ratio made it cinematic, and that cinematic approach let us be softer in the blacks but still achieve contrast.”
