DISCLOSURE DAY

Cinematographer Janusz Kamiński’s work on Steven Spielberg’s Disclosure Day was recently featured in American Cinematographer, exploring the film’s distinctive blend of anamorphic 35mm photography, contemporary visual elements, and Spielberg’s signature storytelling. Senior Colorist Michael Hatzer, a longtime collaborator of Spielberg and Kamiński, partnered with the filmmakers to establish the film’s visual direction from early camera tests through final grading.

THE PLAGUE

Cinematographer Steven Breckon’s work on The Plague was recently featured in American Cinematographer, highlighting the film’s unsettling visual language built through 35mm photography, claustrophobic compositions, and immersive underwater sequences. Senior Colorist Natasha Leonnet collaborated with Breckon and Picture Shop Chief Color Scientist Josh Pines to develop a custom LUT inspired by Technicolor’s ENR silver-retention process. The final grade combines high contrast, dense shadows, and enhanced color separation to reinforce the film’s psychological tension while preserving the texture and atmosphere established during production.
