Picture Shop is pleased to announce that Senior Colorist Paul Allia has joined its acclaimed team of artists in Toronto. Allia transitions from Picture Shop’s Los Angeles based facilities, bringing more than two decades of experience in color finishing for high-profile episodic and feature film content.
Allia’s impressive portfolio includes work on the Emmy Award-winning series The Pitt (HBO Max), The Cleaning Lady (FOX), and Rabbit Hole and Happy Face (Paramount+). Known for his strong creative partnerships, Allia has built a reputation for excellence across both the U.S. and Canadian markets.
“Paul is an extraordinary talent whose work reflects the highest level of creative and technical artistry,” said Bill Romeo, CEO and President of Picture Shop. “We’re thrilled to welcome him to our Toronto team, where his experience and collaborative spirit will be a tremendous asset to clients across Canada and beyond.”
A Hollywood Professional Association (HPA) Award nominee for Outstanding Color Grading, Allia has been recognized for his work on the USA Network series Damnation, where he collaborated closely with cinematographers Thomas Yatsko, ASC and Pierre Jodoin. He is also an Associate Member of the American Society of Cinematographers.
“I’m excited to join the Picture Shop team in Toronto and be a part of the vibrant creative community there,” said Allia. “I look forward to this new chapter while continuing to collaborate with storytellers around the world.”
Based out of Picture Shop’s new custom designed 30 Adelaide Street East facility in downtown Toronto, Allia remains available for international collaborations, offering flexible remote workflows to support productions worldwide. The modern, airy, centrally located site brings together picture and sound services and features new grading rooms, mix stages, an ADR studio and edit suites, all designed to support high-end post-production.
